Since we're a very diverse game which yields the benefits of crypto, it has lead to some confusion from the non-crypto-informed player-base.
This is perfectly fine though as we attempt to limit the amount of crypto involvement you'll need, making it so if you so wish you'll never see anything crypto related in the game.

This is important to us as we see our self not as a crypto game, but rather a game overall which so happens to harness the power of the blockchain.

NFTs
So we're going to assume you know nothing about NFTs to make this as informative as possible. But it's important for you to remember, although NFTs are utilized, if you so wish you can play without ever needing to know what an NFT is.

A non-fungible token (NFT) is a unit of data on the blockchain. - NFTs can represent digital files such as art, audio, videos, items in video games and other forms of creative work. While the digital files themselves are infinitely reproducible, the NFTs representing them are tracked on their underlying blockchains and provide buyers with proof of ownership.

Too long; Didn't read: NFTs are information backing up the ownership and authenticity of something (item, artwork, etc..)

How we utilize NFTs

As Chainmonsters utilizes the blockchain on its back-end, we use NFTs for just about everything. All in game items, all monsters, it all has an NFT.
For example, let's say theoretically the game had something you could pickup, say a pebble. This pebble once picked up will be in your inventory - But it will also be a reference to an internal NFT. Visible in-game and on your online account via the inventory. Now, you may be thinking "But that's just a pebble", no. It's your pebble. Others might have pebbles similar to it, but there's only one of this pebble. it is unique, and it is yours.

Too long; Didn't read: Almost everything in the game is an NFT, they are 100% unique.

Your Pebble

What to do with your unique NFT
Now this is all up to you, you may think little of the fact your NFT is unique, not another is like it, or you might think it's worth something and perhaps put it up for trade on the marketplace. The world is your metaphorical oyster.
